I feel that I'm getting older and older as each second passes me by. It seems like just yesterday I was traipsing off to school with my best friend Kathy Justice (nee Edsall) and we were taking that long walk down that one busy street pass Shadle Park High, Park and Water Tower and the McDonald's to go the back way into Glover Jr. High School in Spokane, Washington. I remember stopping for crispy, golden warm french fries fried to a perfect delicious salty goodness at the nearby McDonald's after school and on the weekends hanging in the alley behind Kathy's house talking about "Stand By Me" and riding our bikes all over the neighborhood.

Now, I'm an adult and Kathy has kids of her own. Teenagers no less. Wow. I never thought I'd see the day when one of my school pals would have teenage children. My own little sister who I can still remember helping to potty train now has three kids of her own, as well. The eldest turning eight this November. It's blows my mind clean away how time has gotten away from me all these years.  I know that our lives have changed, grown and been ultimately blessed for the better by the presence of the next generation of kids to walk to and from school together, hang out at the local McDonald's eating crispy, warm fries and gossip together about their favourite thing of the moment.

Yes, this is an odd update. I'm in an odd mood this morning. So sue me.
